William Tyndale wanted ordinary people to read the Bible in English. Back in the 1500s, the religious leaders said no and kept the Bible in Latin. - Leaving Home: England banned his dream, so Tyndale sailed to Europe.
- Hard Work: He sat in cold rooms in Germany and translated the New Testament straight from old Greek.
The Final Prayer
- The Trap: A false friend named Henry Phillips tricked Tyndale in Antwerp.
- The Fire: They put him in a dark prison in Belgium for over a year before they killed him on October 6, 1536.
